Iām Ada from Hong Kong where I have called Seattle home since 2015. I have traveled to over 30 countries (10 Asian countries). Five Picky Foodies curates the best Seattle Asian food using the picky palates and high standards of our family.
With skyrocketing prices in Seattle, I’m on a quest to find the best restaurants and hopefully they are worth it as well. I hope you enjoy my recommendations! I love to cook healthy Asian food at home and am excited to share my recipes. My goal is to elevate your culinary experience when you are in Seattle or at home!
Whoever invented noodles and dumplings are geniuses! I love them. Regardless, I love to try any cuisines as long as they are good!
I’m agitated if I don’t travel. Whether it’s for business or leisure, I’m always planning my trip. I love to share food guides and travel itineraries with all of you!
I took inspiration from Chinese, Japanese and Italian food for my picky eaters. Anything that’s easy to whip up I love, and the occasionally Costco frozen food š
My Last Meal on Earth: Wonton Noodle Soup (from Hong Kong)
My Favorite Movie: Forrest Gump
The Last Great Book I Read: Atomic Habits
Foods I Love: Dumplings, Noodles, Ramen, Pasta….
Foods that I Don’t Like: Bean Sprouts, Natto
Growing up in Hong Kong is both a blessing and a curse. The blessing is I was able to taste foods of different cultures and of high quality when Hong Kong was booming during the 80s and 90s. I definitely miss that era of my hometown. The curse is I have developed a “picky” palate wherever I go but ultimately it’s not only about the food, it’s also the service and experience! And the people that you eat it with.
I found the best way to document my memories is through videos and support local businesses by showcasing their food and hard work to feed the community. If you find my content valuable and useful, let’s connect and see how my skills can help your business grows.
